Here are some handy Google Drive tips that might prove useful.
When sharing a link to a Google Drive file, just by changing some text at the end of the URL you can force it to copy to the user’s own Google Drive or download as a particular file type.

🤓 HACK #1
When you copy a link to a file in Google Drive it will look something like this:
https://docs.google.com/doc…/d/RANDOM-LETTERS-HERE/edit?usp=sharing
Or this:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/RANDOM-LETTERS-HERE/edit
Just remove the text from “edit” onwards and replace it with “copy”, so it will look something like this:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/RANDOM-LETTERS-HERE/copy
And there you have it – this simple change will automatically prompt the user to copy it to their drive.
🤓 HACK #2
You can also use: …../export?format=pdf to prompt it to download as a PDF.
Or: …../export?format=doc to download as a Word Doc.
So it will look something like this: https://docs.google.com/document/d/RANDOM-LETTERS-HERE/export?format=pdf
Give it a go! Let me know in the comments if you find these useful.
